Motel One Berlin-Bellevue

This is a cool budget trendy hotel. The room is small and looks cool but lacks any frills like a telephone or closets. But for a single traveler, it is adequate since basically you're not in the hotel all day. My room would be a tight squeeze for two people.

It's a little far from the city center and it's not in the nicest of neighborhoods at first glance. There's a lot of graffiti and dark areas from the train to the hotel. However, I realized there's just a lot of graffiti in Berlin in general.

The breakfast is pretty sparse, but typical European. Croissants, cold cuts, coffee, yogurt, etc. There isn't a real kitchen so don't expect hot food.

Motel One in Bellevue is an adorable, trendy, young hotel perfect for those on a budget.

I had a double room on the 2nd floor. The room is very comfortable, makes excellent use of a small space, and comprises of all the basics one would need.

Pros:
-Excellent shower with a large waterfall shower head
-Very clean
-Comfortable bed
-Small flat screen TV
-Hair dryer in bathroom
-Short, 5 minute walk to S-bahn metro, Bellevue stop - only a few stops away from great destinations
-Friendly & helpful staff
-Safe, primarily residential neighborhood
-Wifi code that comes along with room (included in the price of the room)
-Wonderful basic breakfast spread (coffee/tea, juice, cold cuts, croissants, bread, cheese, veggies, fruit, cereal, eggs, etc for an additional 9 euros)

Cons:
-No telephone in room
-No safe to keep valuables locked inside
-No peephole on door

I shared a room with a friend of mine. While space was a bit tight, it was completely fine and we didn't spend that much time in the room anyways. The hotel was wonderful overall. I'd definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin.
