Museum Moderner Kunst Wörlen - Passau

Whenever i am in Passau - which is unfortunately not too often - I come here to get myself surprised time and time again by the exhibits in this museum. First of all: this is a beautiiful building: it is quite simple, with plastered white walls and white vaults and old wooden doors and staircases. I would already go for the building alone, but each time I get pleasantly surprised by some exhibition of someone I had never heard of. This time, there was an exhibition of Matisse cuttings (Jazz and yes, I did know him - what did you think?). But there was also an exquisite exhibition from a German painter and glass artist I had never heard of: Erwin Eisch. His paintings did look somewhat fauvist - although what does this say? It also reminded me of Chagall. I cannot even start to explain his glasswork - I had never seen anything like it, and I won't try. I humbly wish I had the money to buy one of these beautiful pieces..
