Hotel Schaider

Hotel Schaider (Pension Schaider) was a real find and a great value. We traveled to Bavaria for my father-in-law's funeral with only one day's planning. I knew the trip would be expensive, but finding a hotel or inn at a decent rate using the popular travel search sites only found higher priced hotels and major chain locations. Simply Googling the town where my in-laws live and hotel, I found Hotel Schaider. Hotel Schaider was so much less expensive in comparison. Parking was free and never an issue as it might have been in a larger town. The room was clean and perfectly appointed with the basics. It was not fancy in any way, but it was absolutely perfect as a place to stay for an extended stay when sleep and breakfast were our main desires. The bed was comfortable and the traditional German continental style breakfast and wonderful coffee was the perfect start to each day. We never had time to make use of the pool or massage services, but it was tempting. We made reservations via their website with no credit card required. When we arrived at the hotel no card was needed then either, we were simply handed a key and directed to our room. Ainring is a beautiful little village with a few restaurants and a bakery, and only about a 5 minute drive from Freilassing where you can find anything you might need including many more restaurants, shopping, and train transportation. Salzburg, Austria is about 10-15 minutes away if you want to pop into a major metropolitan area.

I can think of nothing negative to say about Pension Schaider. It was perfect for our needs and the cost was just right. I look forward to staying there again.
