Salumeria Da Pino

Wir waren schon häufig hier essen und sind eigentlich gerne hingegangen. Das Essen ist gut und auch die Atmosphäre war angenehm. Was wir nun erleben mussten, war jedoch der Gipfel der Unfreundlichkeit. Auf jede Bitte und jeden Hinweis gab es eine pampige Antwort vom Kellner. Wir mussten 30 min auf die Dessertkarten warten, die Vorspeise wurde nicht abgeräumt, dafür kam das Hauptessen, damit war der Kellner überfordert, Besteck hatte er bei der Vorspeise mitgenommen, neues brachte er nur auf mehrfache Nachfrage usw. Auch der Nachbartisch fragte nach einem doppelten Espresso, bekam einen einfachen und kriegte auf seine Nachfrage die Antwort: Wir sind hier nicht in Neapel! Dann eben nicht mehr hier hin!

I lived around the corner from this place for about two years. *Amazing*, well prepared Italian dishes, fantastic coffee, all sorts of treats from Italy you will have a very hard time finding elsewhere as well as some lovely ambiance and good bottles of wine. The staff is very friendly, there is usually someone who will speak English with you (or Italian...and of course German) Everything there is great quality, but with this kind of quality comes a high price... its not a cheap eat. But...if you feel like indulging yourself, its great!

Wonderful, well-stocked salumeria with a wide selection of prepared dishes you can take home or eat there. Quite large selection of cheeses, meats and wines, as well as some Italian products you might have a hard time finding elsewhere...though the real draw is the prepared food. The staff is a mix of German and Italian, though the owner and several employees (family?) are 100% Italian, and I often saw other local Italians just hanging out, using the place as something like a social club. If you live nearby or pass it on your way home, definitely consider picking up some take-out for a hassle-free, gourmet evening.
