Sokusai

Came here with some friends a few weeks ago. The restaurant is located downtown so you gotta find your own street parking or park in a parkhaus (closest one is Parkhaus Luisenplatz).

The restaurant is pretty big and has indoor and outdoor seating. It's an all you can eat place with options to order other dishes separately. The ordering process is kind of cool...everyone orders off of an iPad that has the menu downloaded with pictures. Each person can order 5 items each every 15 minutes.

The food came out pretty quickly but sometimes not in order (you might get something from your first order after you've gotten everything from your 2nd and 3rd orders). There were also a couple of times when we just didn't get what we ordered but since it was all you can eat we just entered the same order in again.

There is a big variety to choose from on the menu but...the quality just isn't that great. Maybe it's because I grew up in Hawaii and traveled to Japan a lot so I have high expectations for sushi/sashimi. The salmon nigiri was decent and the green tea and mango ice cream were pretty good.

The greatest disappointment. Poor service. Some waiters don't speak German at all which makes it impossible to inform them about allergies. In all 4 rounds of ordering mistakes occurred (asked for cutlery but only received knives, ordered cucumber salad but received veggies, ordered a bottle of water but didn't get any glasses,...) Ordered banana sushi for dessert (according to the menu bananas with grated coconut and vanilla sauce) but was delivered banana with rice and teriyaki sauce. Had to ask three waiters to find out that they were out of grated coconut and therefore changed my order. The waiting times were way too long. couldn't eat together and food arrived cold. Despite complaining no apology or discount was given. Bad experience.

Qualität und Service haben im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr erheblich nachgelassen. Das Personal spricht teilweise überhaupt kein Deutsch (Verständigung über Allergien also unmöglich). In allen 4 Bestellungsrunden sind Fehler passiert (nach Besteck gefragt und ohne Kommentar nur Messer bekommen, Flasche Wasser bestellt und keine Gläser bekommen, Salat bestellt und Gemüse bekommen,...) Beim Nachtisch Bananen Sushi (laut Speisekarte Banane mit Kokos und Vanillesoße) bestellt, allerdings kommentarlos Banane mit Reis und Terryaki soße (?!) bekommen. Nach dreimaliger Nachfrage erfahren, dass es keine Kokos Raspeln mehr gab und das Essen daher geändert wurde... Die Wartezeiten waren so lang, dass das Essen teilweise kalt am Tisch ankam. Alles in allem war es echt schlecht, nicht zu empfehlen.

We chose the All You Can Eat option, they charged me €14 each for my 5 and 6 year old each! The food options were limited and weird. The service was so crappy and rude. They took forever with dishes and they charged EXTRA for the food we didn't eat! WTF?! Do not go here. The food was so mediocre the best part were the sweet potato fries. Our bill was €100 then they added €5 for the uneaten food! Ridiculous. If you want the worst eating experience go here.

The sushi here is ok. It's probably one of the better ones that I've tried here in Wiesbaden. The ice cream is good though.

Great place and the food is terrific and the price is great as well. We will certainly be back soon and often!
