My new Italian friend's German friend recommended this restaurant for classic German food. We got some schnitzel here, I enjoyed it, and I had my quintessential German food experience. I had a Radler, and the schnitzel came with a salad. The food was really good, and there was so much food. Their menu was only in German.

One of the best and largest schnitzel I've ate. The service is superb. This place is well known yet very low key and in a local neighborhood. Finally a place that brought me to where locals live and grocery stores around.

Food is great, ambiance is ok, service is not so great.
I am aware that the service in most European countries is not very fast and we're totally ok and prepared for that, after all we were on vacation anyway. But, we ordered beer (came FAST), my daughter ordered a coffee and it literally took FOREVER. The waitress came by at least 3-4 times and every time she came by, we reminded her of the coffee that we haven't been served. And every single time, she puts her hand on her forehead and went to inside that we thought this time she's going to get our coffee... nope! . Not sure what's going on finally we told another waitress and she offered lemonade instead . Long story short we were like whatever, sure. So... food great, order beers or lemonade, but no coffee lol

I had wanted to go here even before arriving in Munich ( based on location & reviews ) well , it certainly did not disappoint. I arrived late afternoon and the place was packed ! Full of a hip locals set . The host was very accommodating and gave me a high top at the bar ( I was a single afterall ) I ordered a Apperal Spritz & the quintessential pork schnitzel, unbelievable size portion of tender deliciousness.
A really good choice on a museum tour day . Highly recommend!

Really good pork snitzel. And it came with awesome fried potatoes and a salad, so it was a great deal. They also had augustiner oktoberfest, so great all around time. The snitzel is gigantic, I couldn't finish the whole thing, it's almost enough for two people.

I don't have any issues giving this place 5 stars based on my personal experience. I walked in and was seated at a shared table immediately even with it being pretty busy. Servers were friendly enough and spoke English which helped me! I got a beer and the schnitzel with fries - huge portion size that is shareable and cheap relative to the amount of food (which included complimentary salad).

Great Schnitzel for good price. Very slow service even when it's not busy. Waiter takes very long time to come to ur table.

I went by the online recommendations on this place and they are no lie. The food here is great and it's in a very nice place in Munich. I came with my kids and not giving it all 5 stars because it isn't kid friendly and the wait times are long. They don't take reservations past 2:30 pm on Sundays, but they are open! Which isn't common in Germany. I overall recommend this place and will come again, sans the kids.

I have been to Steinheil 16 three times in the past year and it has been consistently delicious each time. Although they have an extensive menu, I have only ever tried the Käsespätzle and Schnitzel because not only are they absolutely delicious, but they are extremely large portions for a great price. Definitely more than enough for two people to share. Also, the servers are very nice and speak perfect English.

It's definitely a good idea to make a reservation if you plan to go for dinner, as there was a line outside the door when I initially went in December. Making a reservation was super easy since you can make them online through OpenTable.

It's hard to find vegetarian schnitzel in Germany so I was super excited to come across this place! The portion was huge, texture seemed soy based and chewy and it was nice and crispy. There are tons of other options on the menu and the service is great!
