Thai-Huong-Snack

Since 3 years we order sushi from Thai huong and we were never disappointed. A few times we ordered/took away sushi from a few other more expensive and cool places hoping to get something even better - but nope, it was never as good as at Thai huong. So we stick to it when in a mood for sushi. And here are the reasons to like it:

- they are always generous with the fish! In many sushi restaurants you end up chewing mostly rice (which is cheap) and then some other fillings and then you ll find a tiny bit of fish somewhere inside. It makes a lot of difference in taste of sushi when chef doesn't cut on fish.
- the fish is very fresh and tasty.
- the delivery is extremely fast.
- the service is professional and friendly

Great place. Try it out!

I came here for dinner after having a long day at university. Since my uni is at Friedrichsstraße there not many places which are fair priced. In most cases you get overpriced so-so food. Nope that's not my style.

That's why I took the bus for 12min and went to Thai-Houng. It's not fancy, it's not special but it's cheap and good. I had fried tofu with veggies in creamy peanutbutter sauce. All vegan and fresh. I ordered extra spicy but yeah... dunno if I have a tongue out of steel or the waiter forgot to tell it the chef, but it wasn't spicy at all.

Communication is kind of exciting at this place anyway because the waiter doesn't speak fluent German. It's ok. My parents don't do that either so I don't mind at all.

The food was good. I have to admit it's nothing special but for a price of 6€ absolutely fair. In short: If you are around and you don't want to eat trash or spent a fortune , go to Thai Houng Snack.

I have gotten take out from this restaurant a few times. The servers are a little short tempered but the food is very delicious and quite inexpensive. The chicken and vegetables in peanut sauce was my favorite. The sauce was delicate with coconut milk and just a little spicy.

I also enjoyed the fried rice, well cooked with many veggies. Try the glass noodles, they have a great texture and come with a light, tasty sauce.

The fried chicken that came with noodles was too heavily breaded and so became soggy but was otherwise a large piece of chicken served on some nice noodles.

Finally, the spring rolls (as well as vegetarian spring rolls) are average at best and should be avoided.

There is plenty of seating inside and out. This restaurant has a huge menu and I will definitely be going back to try more.

Decent, tasty pho at a good price. The broth is less full-bodied than I'm used to at home, but it was still delicious.

My office is super-close to this place and everyone always raved about Thai-Huong-Snack. I was a convert the moment I had my first sip of their coconut soup. It's fast, friendly, and delicious. Their curries are tasty and the fried tofu and rice soak them up beautifully. If you live in the area, you can't do better.

It's pretty fast and very good.

Has recently extended and, whilst this might look like a takeaway, the food is at restaurant quality. Every meal is quickly and freshly prepared and there are unusual Vietnamese meals with specials as well. Everything is bargain cheap and, if you are staying in one of the NH suites round the corner, you could even eat it in the comfort of your own place.

It's one of those 'Every-Asian-Cousin-In-One-Place' Resaurants, still, the quality is great and the prices are low. Definitely worth a try.
