      The Good.

-They let us check in at 8 am after a red-eye, which I really, truly appreciated.*
-The rooms are FAR nicer than I anticipated for such a reasonable rate.
-Said rooms are simple but stylish, and completely clean.
-There is a kick-ass bear mural that you can see from the hallway.
-There were gummy snacks on my pillow.

      The Bad.

-No gummy snacks on her pillow. And I got two on mine; weird, huh?
-Like the rest of Europe, you can only get two twin beds pushed together. No queens.

      The Ugly.

-My own stupidity. It took me a lot longer than I care to admit to figure out that the electricity won't work unless your key is in the slot by the door.
      ___________

*This allowed me to shower, which my girlfriend really, truly appreciated.

So, as much as I thought this hotel was a bit charmless ( to use a word), I have to admit it is alright. It is spotless and everything works just fine.
The thing is, it lacks that feeling that makes you feel really welcome and relaxed, the internet is a joke really, you can only be online with one piece of equipment at a time they charge extra for more, it is really slow and will disconnect every ten minutes :(
The rooms are OK, a bit on the small side but it's fine. The beds are kind of hard but nothing too bad.
We didn't have breakfast while on our stay because I prefer going out to a local place, but it looked like your standard hot breakfast.
Bottom line, it is not the best hotel but neither is it bad, it is a good option for a weekend in the city when you are only going to sleep there anyways!

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights and the hotel was absolutely fantastic. This was when it was the TRYP Berlin which is now the Hotel Berlin Mitte managed by Melia.
The bartender Oliver was a really nice person and he knew how to make drinks well at that. He was really talkative as well if you wanted conversation. Also they have free wifi in the lobby. No need to get in your room, because in Berlin, there is so much to do why would you be in your room a lot anyway.

Not the best hotel I've stayed in but it does the job and potentially has a lot to offer, at an extra cost unfortunately.

      Pros:

      - Easy to get to, right by a metro stop, line U6
      - Cool piece of privately commissioned street art on site (other users have posted pics so I won't)
      - 24 hour front desk
      - restaurant and bar on site, although the restaurant is pricey (we didn't eat or drink here)
      - decent sized room and bathroom with large TV
      - bathroom equipped with toiletries and extras such as a sponge, toothbrush kit, shaving kit, shoe shine kit, sewing kit
      - small fridge
      - safe in the room
      - stylish décor
      - gym on site

      Cons:

      - we called and asked for an iron, they took so long bringing it across despite ringing twice. We ended up leaving before it came
      - the cleaners left our window open one day, this was completely unacceptable as due to the location of the room anyone who wanted to could have easily entered the room via the open window. We were out the whole day so didn't realise until we got in, luckily all our things were still there. We'd specifically asked for the room to be left alone that day so that request was ignored.
      - not enough English channels on the TV, unless you want to watch the news on repeat
      - no tea and coffee making facilities, BIG problem for me
      - no access to free tap water
      - crappy wifi. Poor connection plus only one device allowed per room. Unless you pay extra
      - no ambiance

I personally wouldn't stay here again unless I really had to.

This place is clean and modern, with friendly staff and big rooms by European standards. A major drawback though is the wifi. Lobby wifi is free but you must pay if you'd like wifi in your room. Totally not a big deal. Until it drops. Or until there is more than one device using it. Then all bets are off.

While the room is spacious, the floors were a little dusty. So wipe your feet before you hope into bed. And don't hop into bed, you may break your back! The bed was hard as a rock!

Stylish lobby. Close to metro, but not so central. Spacious room. Problems: the room didn't look swept, it's equipped with a big wardrobe without drawers with just 5 hangers (broken), the beds are really tough, the shower doesn't have pressure, the air cleaner in our WC didn't work and the Wi-Fi is free at the rooms, but you need to ask every day for the password and is very slow, so don't think to make a videoconference with your family or publish a bunch of photographs (even for consulting the public transport website you have to be patient). Another thing is that the rooms are perfectly isolated from the inside, you don't hear the corridor or another rooms, but if you have street views is very noisy and you hear all the cars crossing.

If you arrive late and hungry to the hotel, the restaurant will be closed from 22:30, including the room service.

The staff in general is kind and helpful, with some exception.

In the surroundings is difficult to find a supermarket, but you have a couple of good caffetteries to have breakfast in the same street.

For me is not completely bad, but deserves one star less (3 instead of 4) and the price should be lower according to this. If I had paid less and was conscious to receive a 3-stars service and experience, I would rated it much better than I've that.

TRYP is absolutely gorgeous, like a young lady who wears heels and blazers and has amazing skin. The entire hotel is beautifully decorated with very modern decor. The rooms are HUGE for European standards, with hard wood floors and gigantic showers! Large flat screen TV`s are always impressive and there were a good number of English channels available. No Wifi in the rooms unfortunately, but it is free in the lobby. The hotel was shockingly affordable and the front desk was consistently helpful and kind. We were even allowed to check in slightly early which is extremely comforting after an early flight. It`s also an easy metro ride to the city center and the shopping districts. I dearly miss those beautiful rooms and I would definitely stay here again!

A real nice and clean hotel, the staff is very friendly, breakfast is commendably and it is in the middle of the center, beside the Metro station. A good place to stay for your business, unfortunately there isn't any individual atmosphere, no feelings of home or a kind of soul for a longer stay.

Tryp hotel was great! Great front desk staff, cleaning crew and bartenders! My friends and I felt very safe there. It is close to tons of restaurants and public transportation. Taxis cabs come in 30 seconds after a call from the front desk. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Berlin!
