This is where I go in Pismo Beach to have a good-gasm...Been there twice. Once in summer of 2014 and once just a few weeks ago. Both were amazing experiences! I remember my friend teasing me about dancing around in my seat the first time I went, but I couldn't help it! My mouth was so happy! Things I remember specifically were that we ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the beet salad and the tiramisu. I also remember enjoying my wine. When returning there this summer, I was blown away with the service. We did have to wait awhile as even on a Monday night they were packed for their dinner service, but everyone we encountered from the hostess to the bar back to the guy shoving the handmade pizzas into their looked to be one-of-a-kind pizza oven, knew their job, seemed to like their job, and was doing it well. We noticed a list of wines on offer from the owner's vineyard and ordered the one that was on special that night...I honestly can't remember what it was not least because my fiancé and I shared three more glasses that night we liked it so much.

This place, in short, does not disappoint. It was the meal of my summer back in 2014 and the dish of our trip this year! That dish was a seasonal offering of albacore tuna, and every bite was perfection!

Most amazing dish! From seasonal menu (LOVE a seasonal menu) Look at the beautiful sear all the way around that succulent fish!

Thought this place was going to be strictly hipsters...So glad we gave it a chance and were wrong. Saw people from multiple backgrounds and age-groups. Staff provided hand-crafted cocktails, were knowledgeable and attentive. Liked that they had some fun mocktails that were not too sweet and actually provide some potential health benefits as me and my fiancé were wanting to try a few things without over-indulging in alcohol.

Our chosen mocktails and a glass of ice water that we stuck one of our garnishes in to suck out the last bit of refreshing flavor! :D

Was excited to sit and read with my favorite espresso beverage: a mocha latte, the first I've had on vacation in California. Sadly, the product here was syrupy sweet with a very generic coffee flavor. It was served hot, and the staff was friendly, but I could say the same of McDonald's. The foam on top was neither dense nor rich. Just not what I'm looking for in a coffee shop. ‍ Other's May disagree.

Nice restaurant! Friendly service and, as a tourist, dishes are such a nice change from heavy German/European fair. I've had a wonderful time these past several weeks, eating my way through Europe, but I often find vegetables missing from the plates. Here I had dishes full of them (three plates full) for 13 Euros! They were satisfying and tasty. And it was like you would cook for yourself or a friend would cook for you ( a talented friend, who likes to cook.) :) The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I didn't absolutely love the dessert. But I would still highly recommend!

      Pumpkin ginger soup, I believe?
Carrot and potato pancake with garlic mayo, basmati rice and a small salad with orange ginger dressing!

Is it the best ice cream I've ever had? Maybe. Is it the best ice cream I've had in recent memory? Definitely! And that includes a trip to Berthillon last week!

Just had 2 scoops here at the bargain price of 2.60! What?!! I'm not sure you can get two scoops of bad ice cream at that price in the U.S.

I probably would have been fine with one scoop, but I was having a hard time choosing a flavor, and it was a bargain, and I go home in a week...Anyway, with one of the server's help, I decided on a scoop of Ferrero Rocher and a scoop of lemon sorbet. I knew I wanted to try something chocolatey (because chocolate has not failed me in either Germany or Belgium so far, and Aachen is this hybrid city,) and thought about how I always love orange and chocolate combinations. So wouldn't lemon and chocolate be nice?- I couldn't be more wrong.

The lemon sorbet was good, and, perhaps the most pristinely white food I've ever eaten. However, it probably would have paired better with something more fruity.

Now, the Ferrero Rocher! This is the best thing I've had on my 6 week trip to Europe in the sense that I did not want the experience to end!!!!

So I guess I would recommend it. ;) Yes, without a doubt I would! And the lesson learned here is, if you are in one of Western Europe's best ice cream towns, and there is a choice of Ferraro Rocher ice cream (and you love chocolate, hazelnuts and Ferrero Rocher), ask for two scoops!!!

Ferrero Rocher and lemon sorbet :)
