Laundry and delicious food all in one place = my new favorite cafe! I'm American so I *need* fluffy towels, but going to the laundromat can be boring. Thank goodness Lavandria is in my neighborhood!

The washers and dryers are well maintained and I've never had any problems with them. But the best part is the cafe! Every weekday they offer a different dish for only €5,50. I had bass filets with potatoes and salad greens - so yummy! It was a perfect amount of food for lunch and was just so classy and unexpected for a laundromat cafe. The service is good and the food came out quickly, delivered by the chef himself! Can't wait to go back next time I wash my towels and try more of their awesome food.

Great food, great atmosphere & awesome music! I very much enjoyed my meal at Madami last week. The interior is very open and hip and perfect for couples. The servers were attentive enough and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time.

Their menu is fairly large but I suggest skipping right to the special menü for 2 persons page if you're eating with a friend. For about €30 you get A LOT of food! Soup, appetizers, an entree, and a dessert. We shared the menü with the coconut milk based soup and the beef entree. Everything was delicious! The spring & summer rolls are huge and come with the appropriate dipping sauces. You also get two chicken satay skewers! We were so full by the time we got to the entree that we decided to have it boxed up and went straight to dessert. And, oh my goodness, are those fried banana balls incredible!

Overall, we had a good experience. Considering the amount of food and the quality, the menü was a good deal. I will definitely be going back!

A great cafe for breakfast or working on the computer with a cappuccino, and an awesome bar for craft beer. I love all-in-one places! Szimpla has a great location on the corner of Boxhagener Platz that is easy to find. The interior is nicely decorated with a shabby chic Budapest theme that gives it a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is fairly large with a few different areas, including a smoking room.

I have only had breakfast here, so I can't speak to the Hungarian menu items. The breakfasts are the usual Brotzeit type of offerings. I enjoyed my Käsefrühstück which came with fruit, veggies, bread, and of course a lot of cheese! Nothing special but it didn't disappoint and was relatively inexpensive.

The craft beer is my favorite part of Szimpla! I especially enjoyed their recent 'Hungarian Tap Takeover'. I don't think I have ever had Hungarian beer before so it was very cool to get to try a few. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgable about the beers. The beer prices were the same as at most craft bars around Berlin - about €3,50 for a 0,3 L. A cool place that stands out among the many bars & restaurants in the area!

I am giving the Castle Pub 5 stars because although it is your standard next-to-a-hotel type of Irish/British-y pub, it doesn't disappoint and I had a great time here the other night. Yes, they have panties hanging from the ceiling, but they also have a great craft beer selection! And awesome drinks deals like €1,50 shots on Fridays. It's not the classiest joint but the bartenders were cool and knowledgable about beer, they have good seating for groups, and the pub quiz was super fun. It also wasn't filled with obnoxious groups of tourists on a Friday night. In fact, we were probably being the most obnoxious but we're not tourists so it is ok, right? :)
Maybe don't bring a first date here, but do bring your mates & a thirst.
