Took a Rega P2 to them in 2008 that was dropping out in the right channel. They changed the RCA jacks, didn't fix it and charged me €75 for the privilege. Avoid.

Ridiculous pricing on very common items. More power to the guy running the place if he can actually sell things at this much of a profit, but I can't understand why you'd go here and not Generation Records round the corner, or literally any record shop in the entire city, and get the same stuff for 5x less. Money laundering operation? Only explanation I can see for how this place is still alive after so many great shops in the same area like Bleeker Bob's and Bleeker Street couldn't make it.

Long time location for me, so great to see that it's survived all these years and hope it continues for many more. Still an excellent selection across all genres. The only area I would say it doesn't stand up to international competition is the singles department which is overpriced and not that well stocked in terms of quality rather than quantity, but as always this is going to depend on what you're looking for. It's been a must-visit location in Brighton for decades so no vinyl buyers trip to the city is complete without stopping by.

Prices are on the high end - you won't be buying here and listing on Discogs to make profit overnight - but they're better than they have any right to be given this extremely prestigious location and selection is often unique, though perhaps doesn't turn around as often as it could. Their jazz section has become fairly woeful over the last few years but its very good for 80s-2000s indie rock.

Star off because I don't like having to go to the desk with the sleeves to be able to check condition, printing of the vinyl etc. I sort of understand the reasoning but its a sad inditement of the city that it's necessary, and other shops don't do it so is it really required? Staff can be a bit detached but I've not yet encountered blatant rudeness.

Just a shame they'll never get their original premises back a couple doors down - many a happy memory in that basement!

Unpriced records in only mildly acceptable condition, in a deliberately dark store to make it difficult to determine condition, that are priced for you at the desk based on the owners whims on the day. Avoid.
