So good. There is consistency across this group of restaurants - which is a key to success when you expand. Atmosphere was fun & lively, service was attentive and the food was delicious. Never disappoints!
Great spot for dinner, cocktails, atmosphere. Very lively, passionate chef, incredible spiced dishes & flavourful food. The staff loves to host their guests, service is attentive. Food is shareable. Bathrooms are clean :). There are 4 Jamaican Jerk dishes on the menu that do Jerk proud. Didn't find a dish we didn't like! Will be back!
1Kitchen as great for breakfast. Kids under 5 eat free, otherwise breakfast buffet is half the adult price which should be the standard at all resorts. Service is slow but the food offset that part of it. Lemon Ricotta pancakes were amazing! Great views of the Bay & Mountains!

Unsure if it was the cook scrolling or typing on his phone the whole time, or that fact he was spraying Vegalene directly on the $46 fresh but frozen fish I & others had ordered. I googled Vegalene, it's a spray you put on pans & grills, like a Pam perhaps - not directly on food, which this guy was doing quite freely. At first the can had paper wrapped around it so I couldn't tell what it was, but the paper fell off and although he attempted to tape it back on he gave up, exposing what it was. I was slightly shocked to see him spraying it directly on the fish. And started to question the safety aspect.
For $46 I expected the Hebi fish to be moist, flaky & delicious, not charred and difficult to eat. The fresh snow crab in the California roll was soaked in something like mayo. Ugh. The miso soup which my daughter & I order whenever we eat sushi - was different - the miso didn't separate from the water, it remained murky - my daughter took one sip and that's it. I forced mine down passing it off as "different", but 4 hours later regretted it.
Dolphin came recommended by 3 families we met who had been there in the past so we looked forward to checking it out. Our meal with tip for 3 was ~$220 just $20 less than our meal at Postcard the night before. The quality of the food & experience was starkly different. Postcard surpassed expectations & the meal was close to exceptional & truly fresh. The meal at Dolphin severely underwhelmed and nothing seemed fresh. Dolphin's meal should have been $100 less for what we were served.
Our waitress was great, seemed to know her menu and was pleasant. The atmosphere seemed fun. The quality of the food needs to step up, to regain the past restaurant goers reputation it carries because what they're serving today does not match up.
Great stop for a late lunch, happy hour or dinner. The scene is coastal cool with palm trees, surf, sun and tunes with Hawaiian live music. Add in giant Jenga, Connect 4 & cornhole while you wait on delicious food & breezy cocktails makes for a pretty special place.
