I've never really eaten here however I often use their takeaway service. The pizzas are doughy and delicious, if a bit small (perfect if you're like me and have a small appetite)! Some of the decor is slightly on the naff side of things, however La Trattoria has character aplenty! In a nutshell it's very simple, wholesome Italian food at reasonable prices.

I visited this store the other day with friends who needed to stock up on supplies for their animals. It's situated just off the M4 on the outskirts of Bridgend and has ahuge range of pet food, country clothing and equestrian goods. They are a stockist of the Joules range of clothes which I always love as well as Hunter wellies, Barbour jackets etc. The store also has a garden centre with a wide range of plants/shrubs etc and a recently opened reptile centre. They offer a repair service for garden machinery and there is ample parking available which is handy if you need to transport a lawn mower there eg for servicing. They have a good range of homeware, as well as toys with an agricultural theme for any little budding farmers in the family as well as books on how to look after your dog, horse etc If you live in the country or want to embrace the country life then this is the place for you!!!!

This is the most amazing fancy dress costume store ever situated over 2 floors in a road near Caerphilly railway station...easy to reach from Cardiff if you have no transport of your own. The shop is full to brimming with costumes for all ages and sizes both male and female.They have individual costumes eg super heroes or fancy dress party themes such as a pirates party or 50s party etc. I particularly liked the Egyptiain princess outfit at £19.99 and am thinking about what excuse I can come up with to host a party! As well as costumes the shop also has all the accessories to make the finished look complete, wigs, stockings gloves hats etc. The shop also operates a great web site which covers every costume imaginable.

Situated not far from Caerphilly railway station Tiger Lily is a fair trade holistic shop. It stocks a range of Indonesian clothing in sizes 8-30 as well as hand carved coffee tables, vases, crystals, handmade rugs from Spain and wooden Indonesian animal carvings. Tiger Lily also stocks aromatherapy oils, and Dr Bach remedies. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays you can relax in the comfort zone with a Thai therapist who practises Thai head massage, aromatherapy massage reflexology and facials. Must admit I was not expecting to find a shop like Tiger Lily when wandering the streets of Caerphilly.
