It's so unfortunate because the food is great but I can't get over how god awful management and service was. I get it, I went to a restaurant on Valentine's Day which you can expect to be busy, but 45 minutes past your reservation to sit at a bar where waiters are constantly bringing their dirty glassware while you are eating is just sad.
We walked in and immediately were greeted with a pile of people frustrated and waiting for their 30min-1 hour past due reservations, not a great start. We should have left but I was excited to eat, I still like their food!
Well $400 later and 3 hours of the slowest service known to man, I regret not going to the McDonald's down the street. Literally, how bad of planning can you do on one of the biggest holidays of the year in the restaurant world? I would have at least expected a free drink to bolster my spirits. Whatever, wasted night, wasted money, thanks Soto!
I really enjoyed this place!
I came here with my boyfriend's family to celebrate a double graduation (woohoo) and this was picked out by his mom! It was very fancy, and the interior had a modern, airy Texas ranchy-farm house feel. They had taxidermy deer heads on the wall to give you a better picture (they did mention they were moving locations soon).
We got drinks, we all eventually had 2 but our favorite where "the willie" which is a smoky whiskey based drink and "the longhorn" which is tequila/fruit/mango/tajin based!
In terms of food, we had it all really. I enjoyed the fettine trio a lot (I didn't expect it)! They were cold cuts with fun flavors! The rabbit rattlesnake was suprisngly my favorite! We also got the foie grais sliders (yum) and the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage (omg get this, amazing!)
Another starter I really recommend is the pasta+octopus dish. I forget the name but it is so light and delicious, it doesn't have a fishy taste and the octopus was perfect!!!!
For entrees I got the filet, we also had ribs and chile rellano ordered. I thought the filet was fine, mine was undercooked (I wanted medium rare but mine was less than rare honestly, it was cold in the middle sadly). The elk ribs were amazing and Chile relleno got raving review from our vegetarian at the table.
For desert, get the chocolate cake or churros! The rest was not as good as those.
Overall: great cute place for a super nice, fancy evening. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5: 1. Not enough vegetarian options + they told us no substitutions (although they did break this rule), I completely understand it's a steakhouse but it's also the 21st century and there needs to be more than 1 option. Also, some of the food was a miss, and lastly, most of the desserts were TOO sweet, I am a huge sweet tooth but my teeth started hurting!!!
Yeah I don't know, QUALITY dropped ALOT from the last time I was there and they skipped parts of the manicure and also took 40 minutes to soak my acrylics off, and after that gave me half ass service. No massage after either which I looked forward to. Won't be coming back after this disaster. No apologies ever either. Cool, I'm sure another salon will find my business.

Thank you so much, Allison. I’m glad you love your nails. They look great!
I got acrylics done here and it was my first time getting them done and I thought they did a wonderful job!
I got acrylics, pink and white, with a almond shape! They were $60 total (pink and white acrylics are $55 and the shape costed an extra $5)
Their website was very transparent with prices which I deeply appreciate. You don't know the number of times I was charged extra because of some random charge and it ruined my whole expirence.
I'll include some pictures! The only critique was that under my nails, it was a little messy with white polish kinda everywhere, the top looked nice but the bottom didn't if that's makes sense. It's been a week and only 1 or 2 small little chips in the white polish that are barely noticeable!
I really loved this place! I stumbled upon it on a Saturday, looking for a late lunch! We came in and they seated us immediately but either at the bar or patio. We chose the patio but I think the tables inside are worth the wait.
The outside patio area is my only critique, I think the owners should invest a lot more money into making it look amazing. It overlooks Aba (another restaurant with a 2 hour wait at the time) and it was gorgeous there and sad outside Two Hands. It has a lot of potential!!!
Food and drinks were amazing. Loved the burger and the perfectly crispy fries. The scramble was phenomenal and loved the soft ribbon eggs! The juices, coffee and cocktails were tasty as well!
Will be back, but only looking for tables inside from now on haha!
You really come for the view more than ANYTHING else.
The food is very meh and so are the drinks, but the view is stunning and really beautifully overlooking the water.
We got a chocolate chip cookie; an almond croissant, blueberry muffin, empanada and all were fine! The people working the food and bakeries aren't personable because they are really just trying to get as many people through as possible.
I wouldn't come because here if it wasn't for the gorgeous view of the water.
Expect around a 15-20 min wait to order on the weekends and there is plenty of seating. Parking in the small lot shared with some business is challenging but there is additional parking somewhere else! If I was visiting Austin for a day I would definitely get my butt over here!
