I recently had the pleasure of dining at Wondeo Chikin and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. This cozy spot offers an abundance of flavor, particularly with its standout dish - Korean fried chicken.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a hint of modern charm that sets the stage for a memorable meal. The staff exuded genuine warmth and hospitality, adding to the overall positive experience.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the Korean fried chicken. Each piece was perfectly crispy, while the succulent meat inside melted in your mouth. The homemade sauces provided a delightful burst of sweet, savory, and spicy flavors, complementing the chicken impeccably.

Beyond the mouthwatering chicken, the diverse menu offered an array of Korean specialties that catered to various tastes and preferences. The attention to detail in each dish was evident, showcasing the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality.

To top it off, the service was prompt and attentive, and the overall value for the quality of food was commendable.

Whether you're a Korean food enthusiast or a fried chicken fanatic, wondeo offers a delicious fusion of flavors that will undoubtedly leave you craving for more. I can't wait to return for another round of their delectable Korean fried chicken and explore the rest of their tantalizing offerings. Highly recommended!

Update: the only flavor that's good but not wow is salted caramel. Skip the cake batter too. I felt the Froyo to be heavy and for $7 too expensive. We got bloated and the quantity and quality of our farts afterwards were no joke. I personally found it to be less satisfying and also on the heavier side, where I'd rather go for ice cream calories and satisfaction wise unless you crave Froyo.

Very good creamy frozen yogurt that's more on a soft serve side. It's firm, it's creamy, it's not too heavy and delicious.

What to skip: pistachio for sure!
I'd skip the Reese one too (chocolate and peanutbutter swirl)

What was great: caramel and cookies and cream

The smallest children size is huge but for $6.50 too expensive (feb 2024)

The food was alright depending on what you order.

      What I we liked:
      1) cumin lamb biang biang noodles
      2) spicy chicken noodles (big portion) - I found it to be ok but our friend liked it. It's a heavy chicken flavored soy sauce mix.

      What I would skip:
      1) general tso chicken - our friend wanted to order it and it simply sweet gu Lao Rou using chicken which simply wasn't good
      2) Cold lian pi noodle - I liked where the idea was going with nutty spicy Sichuan flavor but it was more sour and missed flavor, also didn't like the texture of the Liang pi noodle. Definitely go with the warm biang biang ones
      3) eggplants - people wrote a lot about the eggplants. It's good but not wow. Would skip it next time.

Overall for a Sichuan place everything missed flavor, spiciness and numbness. For me a 3.5 stars overall. I'd consider coming back for the spicy cumin noodles which was also maybe a 8/10 max.

This has been one of the really good hotpot experience and I felt this haidilao was better than the other ones I've tried around the Bay Area.

      What I we loved:
      - Kobe beef
      - Lobster fish ball
      - Dancing noodles
      - Enoki mushroom

What we would skip/did not like:
      - Tofu skin
      - Salted egg fish ball
      - Masago fish ball
      - Konjak noodle
      - Egg noodles
      - marinated fish

Broth wise we liked the spicy pork better than the tomato but we would have both again.

Sauce wise: Definitely add the peanutbutter sesame sauce with the fish sauce and chilli oil / garlic

Tip: Go after 9pm during the week and get 31% off or unlimited beef orders. I'd take the beef order next time.
