These reviewers got it all wrong; CommuKnity is some kind of best ever. Considering how much most yarn is capable of going for these days - in shop or online - C'K is actually QUITE reasonably priced.

Bigger than most yarn shops, possibly, but that doesn't stop the feeling of disappointment that comes along with the realization that there are no more rooms to see after making the complete rounds. Not to mention the tiny store in the little town I came from was getting away with highway robbery since they were the sole yarn-slangin' location within 20 miles.

People running things here are so attentive and eager to pull you in to their communal stratosphere, it brings out the giddy knitter in me, which is my only facet of my personality that has a 'giddy' version.

I don't know how long it takes you to spend $100 on knitting supplies, but once you spend a C here, you get a $10 gift certificate; so C-K rewards your loyalty by giving everything to you at 10% off, plus seasonal sales and lots of classes and shows and scheduled consultations, even.

I'm not sure if I'll ever be the type to knit with strangers and make conversation (way to ruin a sweater, woman), but it just makes me laugh to myself to glance at and listen to the ladies who fill the couches in the literature section (never once looking down) while I shop and plan and stick my fingers in the skeins.

CommuKnity is open late. In fact, it's the only place open once I get home from work besides 7-11. So I guess my point is that if I ever need a yarn store I could really recommend a place to myself. Consequently, if you are anything like me, I could really recommend a place to you.

Oh this place renews my hope for this town. Not so much "renews" as "pulls out of nowhere". I had been flying to LA to get food like this.

The string beans are so pleasing. Whatever else you do, you must also order the crispy nuggets from the appetizer menu and in this weather you have no reason not to get the hot and sour soup because as many places as I have had H&S soup and as good as it has been in those places, this place has the best kind I have ever had anyplace. With no skeptic hesitation or scrutiny over what kind of animal they could be trying to sneak into your mouth.

Oh I am almost sad that I've found Di Lac because I am fat enough already.

I love an establishment with a challenge right in the title; it works every time. "Alright, I will!" or, "You just watch me!" and willfully I march in and patronize the establishment.

It was quite a pleasant surprise to be presented with a hookah - much nicer than what you get at "Here, Drink This" and definitely less intrusive than my discomforting experience at a downtown Minneapolis locale called "Open Your Mouth and Close Your Eyes".

The couches and pillows were nice, as long as you could rest your head on someones shoulder and keep your face from touching anything. Put your feet up, select from 50 different tobacco flavors (mathematically infinite combination possibilities available) 4, maybe even 5 different Snapple flavors, watch the fancy college kids burn holes in leather jackets they didn't pay for, make smoke rings inside, and try not to choke.

I suggest going on the weekend because I like to go during the week when no one else is there.

*Try Pomegranate. Or try something you can't pronounce. Or, possibly, both.

      really sexy

elegant, lots of black, big mirrors; sexy.
with little balconies for the pretty view.

8th floor is the sexiest and don't drink the tea in the bathroom.

A big girl in that echo chamber of a tunnel under Mission yelled to me this morning that I'm "gorgeous" long after I had passed her and then she told me to have a great day. And it WAS a great day. This is a great Bay Area Rapid Transit station. She was a great big girl.

And I finally remembered to use the ten cents I had on a ticket that's been living stuffed in back of my wallet for years! Great great great.
