      Seated via Yelp Reservations

I don't know about this one, guys. The pizza was certainly tasty, but the whole service and atmosphere leave a lot to be desired. (And, I feel it's important to note that I lived in the city for many years back in my younger days, so I know how things work there.)

Took my daughter on a quick NYC trip to do all things Christmas and of course, we had to have some pizza. We'd been snacking and eating junk all day, so I checked Yelp to find a sit down restaurant (aka, someplace that serves vegetables!) I'd made reservations and showed up right on time. We proceeded to be ignored, while the host took care of 2 people who walked in and positioned themselves in front of us. We stood there for quite a while and honestly, what actually infuriated me was seeing the owner (at least the person who's photos are plastered all over the promos in the restaurant) look to the front multiple times and continue to just stand around in the dining room. I would never have felt this way had he been busy in the kitchen, but no-- he was just hanging around, shooting the sh!t with his employees.

When wr finally got seated, the service was fine. I did feel a bit talked down do when I asked questions about our order, but thankfully I'm not the kind of person who worries too much about other people's opinions of me! The salad was fine (the walnuts would have been better toasted), but my daughter loved her meatballs and the pizza was pretty darn tasty.

If we were ever in the area, I would consider takout from here. But let's get real, there's so many great places to eat in the city, I likely wouldn't waste my money here.

Wow Yelpers, y'all let me down FOR REAL with this place. There is no speakeasy feel here, it's just a hotel bar. And one with a really weird vibe, at that.

We walked in around 5PM to an absolutely, totally empty place. The bartender immediately asked us if we had reservations. HUH??? There was no one there! We almost turned around and left right then! Without reservations, she invited us to sit at the bar and we decided we'd grab a quick drink, since we were already there.

We ordered two cocktails and I will say, they were quite good. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and friendly (once we got over the strange greeting.) The selection of liquor and beer were a bit limited, but the bartender mentioned she'd had trouble with restocking due to COVID-19.

We left after our drink feeling so ambivalent about our experience. Yummy drinks and a nice bartender, but such a lack of ambiance. It is marketed as a much classier establishment than it actually is. If you're staying at the hotel, perhaps it would be a fine place for a drink, but I certainly wouldn't make a special trip to come here.

It seems only fitting to write my 200th review about a place this EPIC! Your Dekalb County Farmers Market isn't just a grocery store, it's a destination. Honestly, I don't even want to make a stop here when traveling through Atlanta unless I have a good chunk of time available to wander around!

YDCFM is everything the reviews tout and more. Amazing selection of meat, spices, cheeses, produce-- you get the picture! We've bought everything from a whole brisket to 100% Kona coffee to funky cheese here. The spice section is also a personal favorite. Huge containers of spices for far cheaper than your regular grocery store. And the produce? I've lived in Europe and Asia and they still have stuff here I've never heard of!

My only complaints are that this place is almost always packed-- it's like I-75 at 5PM on a Friday afternoon, but with carts! Additionally, we've had some communication issues with employees when asking for items (specifically in the meat department,) so that's a little annoying. Lastly, you can only pay with cash or debit, which is a bit of an inconvenience but if course, not impossible to manage.

But if you haven't been to YDCFM yet, go! IYKYK!

As I write this, it is 10:19 on a Sunday morning and I am just now leaving this Starbucks. According to the app, I placed my order at 9:31. Yup, 3 drinks and 2 warmed pastries took over 45 minutes. I have only been to one Starbucks that is worse than this one (looking at you, Conyers) but really, this was just ridiculous. Service, cleanliness, bathrooms were all abysmal. I stopped here before checking the Yelp reviews-- don't make the same mistake as me!

First and foremost, thanks so much to Tupelo Honey for the complimentary waffle today! Tupelo Honey has been good to us Yelpers in Chattanooga for a long as I've been active, and this little treat was no different.

Stopped in this morning with the family, waffle arrived a bit on the cold side, so that was a little disappointing. I mean, the butter should melt in all the little squares, right? However, my daughter and I certainly didn't have any trouble gobbling them up (though think I might prefer the sweet potato pancakes over all.)

Always good to know that Tupelo Honey has a solid menu for the whole fam-- and an easy place to drop in if you get hungry while downtown.
