I was craving banh beo. It was ok here -- 3 stars. Not super flavorful, and the rice flour was a bit denser than I prefer. Nuoc mam not great.

Service was friendly though and I'd be interested to try their other dishes.

Ordered #1 LIttle Saigon Rice Cakes (banh khot). Texture was perfect -- crisp on the outside. Came with a generous serving of fresh lettuce and mint to wrap. Nuoc mam was one of the best I've had.

I haven't had banh khot often so I don't have much to compare these to. They look like small versions of banh xeo (Vietnamese crepe) but not as flavorful or loaded with stuff. But it was a nice snack.

Our family of 7 arrived at about 1:30 on a Sunday afternoon. The wait for a table was probably about 25 minutes. Once seated, we ordered:

#1 banh cuon special - I can't say it was better than the other Banh Cuon restaurant nearby but it was delicious. 3 different types of rice rolls (ground shrimp, ground beef & mushroom, and shrimp powder), an eggroll (just ok), sweet potato fritter (addicting), nem (always yum), and various types of cha lua. Their nuoc mam was pretty good as well, though I needed about twice as much as they gave.

#12 banh canh cua (crab noodle soup) - extremely flavorful. This was a favorite among my family. I think I preferred this over the same dish served at the nearby restaurant named after this dish.

hu tieu (combo noodle soup) - good but a bit bland compared to #12 above

#1 took about 20 minutes for them to prepare, so the noodle soups were served first. We ordered 5 dishes total for 5 adults & 2 kids, and 4 dishes really would have been sufficient to fill us up.

      Service, value, flavor all good.

I always try to stop here for their ube soft serve in the fish cone when I'm at this shopping center. It never disappoints.

Have also tried their ice cream, which has been hit or miss. Was not a fan of their Vietnamese coffee or yuzu sorbet, but love their durian.

Service was efficient. The robot server helper was pretty cool.

Everything we ordered was good. Prices a bit high but that seems to be the norm these days.

      Green onion pancake
      Beef bone tang noodle soup
      Ox bone tang noodle soup

Extra rave on the ox bone tang. The broth was thick and milky white, which tells me that the bones were properly simmered for a long time. The flavor was amazing -- so pure and clean. Not overly salty like so many noodle soups and not watered down. Just pure bone flavor. At around $22-25 a bowl, the price is pretty steep, but the extra time that went into making such a deep broth is obvious, and that's what you're paying for. It's hard to find broth like this anywhere.

I'm no expert on Korean food but it seems like this place offers some dishes that I haven't noticed at other Korean restaurants. We'll be back to explore some of their other dishes.
